Privacy notice

Who we are

This notice covers this website, careerhunt.app, and its early access list, as run by Arabesque Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in it. Arabesque Labs Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16408080, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

For anything about your data, email hello@arabesquelabs.com.

The short version

Visiting this site

The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver its pages and protect it from attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address, your browser’s details, and the pages you ask for. We may look at records of recent requests to the early access form, which include those details, to fix a fault or stop abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the site and keeping it safe.

The early access list

On this site you can join the list for a hosted hunt, which we may run in future. We keep the email you give, what you tell us brings you to hunt (if you do), the language you used, and when. We use them only to tell you when there’s room for you, and to choose whom to let in first: no newsletter, no marketing, and nobody else’s. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us. The list is kept by Cloudflare, which runs this site, and the form may be checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, to keep out automated sign-ups.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies of its own, so it doesn’t ask for consent and shows no cookie banner.

There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies. The site’s typefaces are served by the site itself, not by a font service.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data or share it for marketing. It is processed by Cloudflare, which runs this site, carries its traffic and keeps its early access list, under a data processing agreement with us.

Links on this site to other websites, such as hunt’s source on GitHub, take you to sites under their own privacy policies.

We would disclose data to authorities only where the law requires us to.

Outside the UK and EU

Cloudflare may process data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where it does, the data is protected by adequacy regulations (such as the UK–US data bridge and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law (the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR), you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Deleting your data says how to leave the early access list. For anything, email us, and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, or, in the EU, to the data protection authority where you live or work. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Running hunt yourself

hunt is free software: its source code is public, so you can see how it handles your data. If you run your own copy, your data stays with you, and we have no access to it. If you use a copy run by someone else, whoever runs it is responsible for your data there. This notice doesn’t cover either.

Children

The early access list is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly hold children’s data.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top. Before a hosted hunt opens, we will publish a notice that covers it, and tell the early access list.
