Pay and currencies
Postings give pay in all sorts of ways: a range or a figure, in pounds, dollars or euros, a year, a day or an hour. hunt makes them comparable.
Kept in GBP
An application's pay is kept as the posting gave it, and converted to GBP once, when it's set, at that day's rate (the European Central Bank's). The figure and the rate are kept with it, so they don't drift as rates change, and every view, filter and stat compares like with like. The pay filter also makes a day's or an hour's rate a year's, to compare with a salary.
Shown in your currency
Your currency (Settings → General) is the one pay is shown in. Pay is still kept in GBP; it's shown in yours at today's rate. The application's own figures, in their own currency, are on its page.
Take-home pay
If you live in the UK (Settings → Pay and tax), hunt works out what you'd take home after income tax and National Insurance: from a salary (with a bonus, shares and benefits), or a contractor's day or hourly rate, inside and outside IR35. Set the take-home pay you want, and the take-home figures are set against it.
